Lumenergi’s Commercial Lighting Management Solution Cuts Energy Usage and Costs by 50–70 Percent

Easy to use lighting control system for architects, designers, engineers and lighting professionals

Newark, Calif. – May 18, 2009 – LUMEnergi, a leader in energy-efficient lighting management solutions, introduced its comprehensive Lighting Management and Control System (LMCS™). LMCS reduces lighting energy use for commercial and industrial buildings while improving occupant comfort. LMCS’ control system, coupled with dimming ballasts, cuts costs and lighting energy use by 50 to 70 percent.

Lumenergi's LMCS enables architects, designers, engineers and lighting professionals to devise dynamic lighting control strategies that provide suitably lighted task areas using minimal energy. The LMCS uses seven key lighting control strategies to maximize building lighting efficiency including; daylighting, task tuning and scheduling.

Using sensors, lighting levels can be adjusted according to the availability of natural light at any given point in the day. Similarly, task tuning gives the ability to control lighting according to task and working environments. Finally, using advanced scheduling, the system can provide the appropriate lighting configuration for different parts of building during the day, week or through different seasons. Additional lighting control strategies include lumen maintenance, occupancy sensing, personal control and load shedding/demand response.

“We offer building owners and companies the means to provide superior, well-lit environments which have real benefits for workers, both in productivity and general well-being,” said Michael D’Amour, CEO of Lumenergi. “Additionally, it offers building owners a competitive edge for attracting and keeping tenants.”
