Lumenergi Strengthens Team with Customer Operations Exec

Dan Weed brings 20 years of operations expertise to lighting efficiency leader

Newark, CA., February 12, 2010Lumenergi, a leading provider of energy saving, networked lighting solutions, today introduced Dan Weed as its new Vice President of Customer Operations. A twenty-year technology operations veteran, Mr. Weed was hired to lead Lumenergi’s growing customer support team to ensure the easy installation and commissioning of its intelligent lighting solutions.

“Lumenergi’s market-leading technology and world-class customer service make energy-efficient, smart grid-enabled buildings affordable and effortless for our customers,” said Michael D’Amour, Lumenergi CEO. “Dan’s experience and expertise will help us deliver superior service as we build the organization to meet growing customer demands.”

Currently, more than 95% of commercial buildings lack proper commissioning. This creates an enormous opportunity for improved energy efficiency and increased occupant comfort and productivity.

“Building managers know commissioning is vital, but with outdated technology it can be costly and difficult to achieve. Lumenergi has engineered smart tools and processes to ‘front-run’ installation that makes commissioning fast and simple. With fine-tuned buildings, our customers can optimally control light levels in every part of the building automatically and with maximum energy savings,” said Dan Weed, Vice President of Customer Operations at Lumenergi.

Lumenergi uses a tailored approach to customer service, helping building owners and managers optimize their buildings’ operations with advanced lighting controls. Buildings using Lumenergi technology enjoy as much as 70% savings on lighting energy costs. The result is smart grid- enabled systems capable of automated load shedding for demand response.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weed has worked closely with semiconductor design and verification, system software, and embedded microprocessors. More recently, he brought scalable systems, including networked attached storage (NAS) solutions, to market. He has ushered products from development to high-volume production while reconciling customer expectations with market demands. Mr. Weed received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Houston and attended the JAMIS Institute.
